Honors & Awards

Our blended learning environment is designed to inspire our scholars to explore the information and resources available at their fingertips.  Our students work collaboratively during Northeast Rocket clubs and passion projects.  We have developed a culture in which our scholars feel safe to grow creatively and intellectually.  We are empowered to fail, build perseverance, and nurture imagination.

Our one-to-one iPad initiative and meaningful instructional technology integration have assisted with freeing our scholars to take ownership of their learning through choice. They focus on passion projects and imagine themselves as agents of change through photography, music, drawing, and more. Through our Northeast Rocket Clubs, we have developed a culture of collaboration.  We have created partnerships with scholars, staff, and community stakeholders with similar interests, from the arts to cooking to STEM. Students work collaboratively to construct an understanding of their creative processes. They sharpen their critical thinking skills and assist each other analyze the information as challenges are presented.

Northeast Elementary is continuously creating a culture of learning, respect, mutual support, and understanding, not only between students but also among its staff. Mentoring and coaching are available for novice and veteran personnel. Administration, teachers, and staff enhance physical, emotional, and identity safety in each student. Every scholar is encouraged to have a positive mindset, starting with daily morning announcements. Students celebrate history and diversity with both national and international festivities. Positive growth is documented, revised, and used for decision-making learning processes. Data are shared and explained to parents and students to make them inclusive in the learning process.
